Description: The Chronicles of Faith series tells the stories of the well-known heroes of the Faith, depicted in a fresh and stunning manner. This striking visual series will draw in and deeply immerse the reader into the Biblical narratives by: exposing the humanity of the characters; illustrating God’s faithfulness, judgement, and forgiveness; and providing pointed and memorable examples of the awe-inspiring characteristics of God. Chronicles of Faith: David is the first in this series, which revives and preserves the account in the books of Chronicles, echoing the story of David in a renewed and inspiring way. While illustrating what it means to trust the character of God, this series will introduce a new generation to the truths of what God has done in the past, inspiring them to have faith.

    Style: Cinematic, dynamic storytelling and action-packed adventure scenes, depicted in a colorful Manga-American fusion that interjects expressive emotions into epic superheroic sequences, all underscored with moments of deep, prayerful reflection punctuated by artistic lettering and stunning visuals.

    Setting: This story takes place in the 11th century B.C. in Israel, at the beginning of the Bronze Age. At a time when the last giants walk the earth, God's people, in an act of selfish distrust, demand a king: Saul. But God Himself chooses a better King: a humble, yet brave shepherd boy from Bethlehem.
