All Creation Sings!

Summary

All Creation Sings! is a preschool and elementary homeschool craft book and seven-lesson curriculum. Tying in Gospel messages to each of the seven days of creation, this short curriculum includes brief lessons, crafts, and snacks all tied together with each day’s message and stage of creation.

Assessment

All Creation Sings! is a high-quality, seven-lesson curriculum for homeschool families. Designed for both preschool and elementary-age kids, each lesson comes with a Scripture-backed devotional, a snack, at least one craft or activity, and a fitting hymn. With high-quality photos and simple but detailed instructions, the course makes it easy to follow along for either parents or kids of any skill level.

The theological messages in each devotional are wonderfully rich for both the age range and the brevity of the lessons. Some concepts might be difficult for some kids to grasp depending on their maturity and educational level but that does not mean its not a good resource for those kids, even if they don’t understand what is being said right now.

Talk

This is a “small, but mighty” type of curriculum! With just seven lessons — including suggestions on how to double up two days for a five-day course — this book manages to cover both the story of God created the earth and tie it into some pretty rich and thoughtful Gospel messages. On top of that, it’s well-organized and both the crafts and the snacks are kid-friendly and require minimal special/extra materials to pull off.

One of the things I really, really love about this curriculum is that it doesn’t talk down to the kids. The lessons have multiple layers to them and use bigger concepts and words than is usually presented to preschool and elementary-age kids, which I think is a good thing. It’s still age-appropriate, but it’d definitely challenge kids and stretch those intellectual muscles. And maybe the kids don’t understand everything now, but the curriculum has a good chance of planting a seed that will grow into understanding later.

If you are looking for a seven-day devotional or Bible lesson for your kids as either its own kind of mini-curriculum or as a supplement for another, more in-depth curriculum, this might be a great resource to look into!

Ang Reynolds

If there is one thing Ang loves more than anything else, it’s talking about storytelling. From the meta of story messaging to the fine details of character development, plotting, and worldbuilding to healthy creative habits to encouraging and supporting fellow Christian creatives around her, Ang loves all things story creation. She firmly believes that the human ability to tell stories and eave narratives is a gift from our ultimate Author, to be used for His good Kingdom!

When not discussing storytelling, Ang is probably hanging out with her cat, reading a space opera, or watching a Godzilla movie. Also, “Ang” rhymes with “Sang”!
